25 days of Uganda safari Trip
Upon arrival you will be welcomed in the country by one of our guides/drivers. You will then be driven to the Askay Hotel where you will check in and relax and enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Victoria. Tonight you will enjoy your stay at the hotel, have dinner and then turn in for the night.

Day 2: Entebbe – Jinja
After breakfast you will check out and make your way to Jinja; stopping at Sezibwa Falls for a cultural walk and then proceed to Mabira Rainforest for a forest nature walk, where you will view monkeys, a variety of bird species and some unique types of trees. After this walk you will continue to Jinja where you will have lunch and then head out for a cultural tour around the Busoga Palace and other interesting places in Busoga kingdom. Later in the evening you will head to “Source of the Smile” Guest House where you will have dinner and enjoy your overnight stay.

Day 3: Jinja
After you enjoy your breakfast you will prepare for a fun day out participating in a variety of activities in Jinja like bungee jumping, a Nile boat cruise, a trip to the reptile zoo, rafting, horseback riding and many other activities of interest. Some of these activities take the entire day while others only half the day. At the completion of your days activities, you will return to the guest house to rest before dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4: Jinja – Mbale
After breakfast you will check out and start your journey from Jinja to Mbale and then continue on to Bugishu land. Here you will learn more about the culture like the “embalu” ceremony which means the initiation of boys to adulthood through traditional circumcision. You will visit other Bagishu cultural places, dances and expirence their traditional ways of growing Arabic coffee around the foothills of mount Elgon. Later in the day you will dead to Sipi River Lodge where you will have dinner and enjoy your overnight stay.

Day 5: Amazing Sipi Falls
After breakfast you will head out for a hike to Sipi Falls. As you get closer you will feel and attachment with the amazing breath taking falls. Afterwards you will continue on to experience a cultural visit with the Sabin culture and learn about their unique traditional ways of living, their dances, food, economic activities and many others. Later you will return and elax at the lodge before dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 6: The wonderful land of the Iteso Tribe
You will start your day with a wonderful breakfast at the hotel, check out and then head out for a great experience with the Iteso people. Here you will learn about their culture, their traditional dances, food, language, economic activities, and lastly visit the Chiefdom (home of the chief “Emorimori Papa Iteso”) Later in the day you will drive to Moroto where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 7: The unique Karamojong Tribe and their culture
After an early breakfast you will take off to meet up with the Karamojong people in their homesteads, also called “manyatta”. Here you will see the making of local foods, participate in their traditional dances, hear some of their folklore of the tribe and see how they make their traditional crafts, such as bead work, wood carving, pottery, painting, drawings and others. Later in the day you will return to the hotel to relax before dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 8: Moroto – Kidepo Valley National Park
You will start your day with a delicious breakfast, check out from the hotel and then prepare for a 5-7 hour drive to Kidepo Valley National park. Upon arrival you will have some time to relax at the campsite before you head out for an evening game drive in the park; viewing animals like the buffalo, zebra, giraffe, lion, elephant and many others. Later you will return for dinner and spend the night at the camp.

Day 9: Kidepo Valley National Park
After breakfast you will take off for a morning game drive through the park and later in the afternoon go for a cultural walk among the Karamojong homesteads “Manyattas”. Here you will learn about their traditional economic activities like cattle rearing, farming, craft making and more. The Dodoth Karamojong are one of the dominant sub-groups around the park. Later in the day you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 10: Kidepo Valley National Park
After breakfast you will prepare for a hike to Mt Morungole where you will meet the Ik people who live at the foothills of this mountain. You will learn about their unique isolated way of life, culture and their traditional economic activities like bee keeping, cultivation and gathering of things like fruit and small animals. After this amazing adventure you will head back to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 11: Kidepo Valley National Park – Gulu
After breakfast you will check out of camp and head to Gulu. This is one of the most renowned places in Uganda because it used to be a war ravaged area that left most of the people in this area traumatized. Thanks to the help of many humanitarian organizations from all over the world as well as government aid, there is now great peace and development in Acholi Land (Gulu). While you are here you will take a cultural walk, get a chance to learn more about the Acholi tribe, their culture, language, and traditional dances. Later you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12: Gulu – Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast you will drive from Gulu to Murchison Falls National Park, viewing different bird species along the way. You will experience various economic activities that the local people involve themselves in like farming and animal rearing. You will continue to the lodge where you will relax, have dinner and spend the night.

Day 13: Murchison Falls National Park
You will start with an early breakfast and then head out for a morning game drive in the park viewing elephants, antelopes, giraffes, lions, buffaloes and many others. You will then take part in an afternoon boat safari which will take you to the bottom of the falls where you will have the chance to view other water animals like the Nile crocodile, hippo, some aquatic bird species and many others. After your hike to the top of the falls to get an up close view of the powerful Murchison falls you will drive to the lodge where you will have dinner and relax before turning in for the night.

Day 14: Murchison Falls National Park – Hoima
After breakfast you will check out and start your journey to the Banyoro region. Here you will learn about their culture, traditional dances, food, economic activities, their kingdom/palace where the “omugabe” stays, and many more interesting things. You will then continue to the hotel where you will enjoy dinner and over night stay.

Day 15: Hoima – Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast you will take a drive enjoying the beautiful hilly view of the local tea plantations and then head to Fort Portal where you will meet up with the Batoro people and visit some of their cultural sites, like the “omukama/King palace, and the “Amabeere nga nyinamweru” caves, and other interesting sites. Later in the day you will continue on to Primate Lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 16: Kibale Forest National Park
After an early breakfast you will take part in a briefing from the park ranger before you enter in the forest to begin your chimpanzee tracking tour. Your tour will be respectively guided by the forest ranger throughout the trek. Not only will you see chimps, but you will also enjoy the different sights and sounds of birds and insects in the forest along the way. After the trek, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 17: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth national park
You will start this day enjoying a later morning brunch and then head out for a cultural visit in the Rwenzoruru kingdom among the “the mountainous Bakujjo people”. Here you will learn about their way of life, culture, unique traditional values, dances, folklore and most of all the “omubeere’s/king palace. Later you will return and check out of the lodge and drive to Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 18: Queen Elizabeth National Park
This park has the most classic ideal habitat for big game like lions, kobs, the elusive giant forest hogs, elephants and other mammal species. After breakfast you will view all these animals on a morning game drive in the park. Later in the afternoon enjoy a relaxing boat safari on the Kazinga channel viewing water animals like the hippos, crocodiles and many different bird species like the pelicans as they gather along the shorelines of the fascinating channel. You will return to the lodge later in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 19: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable Park
After breakfast you will get a chance to visit some cultural places and tribes like the Banyaroguru people who are well known for their traditional cultivation practices in farming. Take part in some of their traditional dances, music, storytelling and more. From there you will travel out of the park to Kisoro Bwindi Impenetrable Park where you will check into your lodge, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Day 20: Bwindi Impenetrable Park
After an early morning breakfast you will head to the briefing point to be briefed and prepared by the forest ranger for your trek into the forest. This long awaited activity is the ultimate experience of hiking and tracking the mountain gorillas who share 90% of their DNA with the humans. Here you will get an up close encounter with the gorillas! This activity will take most of the day, wherein, you will head back to the lodge where you can rest, enjoy dinner and turn in for the night.

Day 21: Drive to lake mburo national park- Mbarara
You will start this day with a wonderful breakfast and then head out for an amazing cultural experience among the Batwa “pygmie” people. Learn about how for generations they shared the forest with the gorillas. On this tour the Batwa take you through their old kind of life as hunters, gatherers, and fierce warriors. Learn about their old home steads and the techniques they used to survive. Later you will drive to Lake Mburo Rwakobo Rock where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 22: Lake mburo national park
After breakfast you will begin with a morning cultural walk among the Bahima people and learn about their major economic activity of cattle rearing, experience how they milk cows and feed them, and other traditional practices. In the evening you will take part in a beautiful sunset game drive through the park sighting animals like the zebra, antelope, waterbuck, reed buck, warthog, defassa, lion and hyenas. After the game drive you will return for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 23: Lake Mburo National Park – kampala
Start the day with a delicious breakfast and then head out for an experience of a lifetime in the park; walking or riding a bicycle to see animals like the eland, zebra, oribi, buffalo and others up close. Later you will drive out of the park, and head to Kampala to the Adonia Guest House where you can rest before having dinner and spending the night.

Day 24: Kampala
After a delicious breakfast you will have time to enjoy the wonderful lake view from the lodge. Later in the morning you will take off to visit the Buganda Kingdom and learn more about their traditions, cultural heritages like the Palace, The Royal Tombs of their former Kabakas/kings. You will take another tour around the capital city of Uganda; visiting various places around Kampala which include the The National Museum, the different religious cathedrals, the Taxi parks and other various economic activities going on in Kampala. If interested, you can experience the nightlife of Kampala in the nightclubs. Later in the evening you will return to the guest house, enjoy dinner and turn in for the night.
